About the film
Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) fights for civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform and immigration.
It’s arresting to watch some of the rare archival footage — even more so to watch Lewis watch it for the first time himself — of how he and his fellow protestors prepared for the lunch-counter sit-ins, and then how they unfolded, as well as his triumphant (though censored!) appearance at the March on Washington and the awful events that took place on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama.
